In large population of India many peoples are suffered from the problem of blindness. Many of these patients are not aware about the solution of the problem or feels that solution is not located in their nearby area and even many thought that it is not possible to restore their eye sight. Eye vision of many blind peoples can be restored by giving them the donated eyes but a large number of peoples are not taking initiative for registering themselves for eye donation due to religious views, less awareness, hesitations etc. Many times some peoples are not able to register because of formalities involved or don’t have the time to go to the eye bank/hospital to register them so online registration facility for eye donation must be started. It may be available right now but I was not able to find it. In comparison to other countries India is  far behind in eye donations instead of its large population.

Government/NGO’s are working hard to fight this problem but results are not up to the mark. As per my observations, in small towns peoples are ready to donate but in big cities don’t because of busy life or some other reasons as mentioned previously.

I think some eye donation camps must be organised like blood donation camps in big factories/corporate sector/colleges where a large number of peoples works and gather regularly.

I am in the process of doing the registration for eyes donation and I request all the blog readers to register for eye donation so that when you go from this world someone else can see the world through your eyes and in this way you will live even after your death. We should remember that Indian history/culture is known for its kindness and many of our religious leaders & famous kings in the history have donated themselves so lets come forward and keep our culture alive.

Dial 1919 in eye donation helpline.

Dear friends please come forward and post your ideas for eyes donations.

Yesterday my two months son had been taken to government hospital at Faridabad where the preliminary medicines/injections/vaccinations are given by government at free of cost. On reaching their we found that the medicine is finished and it will be available only after fifteen days and that too not sure. I am not able to understand why the process of government health department is that much lazy when every year Central Government is increasing the budget for health services. The budget need to be used in a active manner and administrative branches of health department must take care of it.

By above incident i feel that if this is the scenario for health department especially for infants who are future of our country what will be happening in other departments.

Please post your experiences.

In last few weeks much is in air about recommendations of sixth pay commission as it is related to increase in salary of Govt. employees. Everyone is saying that it will lead to big increase in salaries however only few are aware that number of leaves have reduced drastically. The less leaves will have following results :

1. More health problems for everyone as the regular life is already too much stressed

2. Less social relation between everyone leads to big impact on communal harmony

3. Private sector will totally finish the leaves as everyone knows that private sector had less leaves in comparison to Government sector.

4. You will be not able to join and celebrate many family functions/religious festivals etc.

Increase in salary is necessary due to high inflation rate and number of national holidays must be not changed keeping in mind the health of

nation.

Please comment.

INDIAN ARMY UNDER STRESS

Indian army, the second largest army (with 1.13 million soldiers and officer) in the world after china is facing problem of STRESS among its officers and soldiers. Many of its officers and soldiers are committing suicide or they attack their colleagues and seniors. In such incidents army lost twice the number of soldiers compared to dies in action /battle field.

Soldiers are stressed because of relentless counter-insurgency operations, posting in far flung areas of J&K, North East on bayonet edge. They have to fight with heavily armed militants and don’t get proper sleep/rest followed by lack basic amenities, poor accommodation facilities and very little salary. They also feel helpless to solve their problems faced by their due to their posting at far-flung areas. Seniors themselves takes the leave, enjoy good facilities and other benefits while soldiers are even not getting a part of it.

Defence Institute of Psychological Research (DIPR) study says denial of leave, humiliation and harassment by seniors, absence of leaders. Currently Army is facing leadership crisis at middle level because an average middle Indian gets the double starting salary compared to the salary of Army personnels. To overcome the stress problem DIFR recommended that the psychologist to soldier ratio should be at least 1 : 1000 and as a long term step separate cadre of psychologists should be created in army.

As of now soldiers are allowed to frequency call their families regularly and list of Do’s and Don’ts to also handle psychological problems.

Company commanders had also been given manual which will help them to identify soldiers who are stressed.

Army says that it is a “testing time” for the force and it will pass because foundations are strong.
