Commonwealth games are coming up and very less time is with us (Indians) to make arrangements. Till now Delhi city is not capable and is not ready for this International Sporting Event on many parameters like non availability of hotels rooms, stadiums infrastructure, roads, transport arrangement, beautification of city, awareness & attitude of Delhiities to become host of this event, security arrangements, emergency response team and disaster management, sports village etc.

Some important questions like what progress is going at sports village and how much time it will take to complete it. It must be ready in 30 days advance. While constructing sports village at River Yamuna or land near it the river must be protected from every angle .  The cleaning ission of Yamuna must be also kept in mind so that we can present a clean and beautiful river to the visitors .Although Delhi Metro progress is satisfactory but recent accidents on various sites of metro raised a question of its quality and safety. How the teams/sportspersons/athletes will commute from their accommodation place to stadium. Some guidelines/advice booklet must be drafted / printed in various international languages for foreign commuters.

All security agencies must have co-ordination between themselves so that their is no loophole and anyone do not feel harassed. Police must behave politely but make sure that security is not at stake. Intelligence agencies must behave more accurately for gathering of information and provide timely and right inputs to their concerned agencies.

Volunteers must be engaged from different government  / private colleges who helps the visitors. NGO should also be advised to work in their respective field during games. Also it must be make sure that during VVIP / VIP commuting situation do not goes out of control.

Although I want every thing should go normal but still government must prepare a plan for steps to be taken in case of any emergency like natural disaster, terror strike, swine flu attack, flood, earthquake, etc. I don’t know whether government has issued any instruction to government/private hospitals, CATS to treat people especially sportspersons and foreigners.

AND MOST IMPORTANT ALL DEVELOPMENTS MUST BE DONE ACORDING TO  ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY TECHNIQUES.

LET US MAKE DELHI A BEST INTERNATIONAL CITY.

Twenty-20 World cup has started and almost all teams have reached London. India the winner of 2007 Twenty-20 World Cup is a strong contender in this World Cup also with its Team members like Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, Rohit Sharma, Raina, Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni (Captain). As a Indian I strongly want another world cup for the nation. I say Best of luck to all players and Team India but I have some question regarding team India. Like fitness & tiredness of Team India in view of IPL tournament because of month long IPL (Indian Premier League) Tournament will affect the performance of Indian Players although it has been denied by most players. Some of the important players are suffered from injuries or recently recovered and victory in Twenty-20 is looking doubtful due to above mentioned reasons. We should forgot that Australia is a very good team and the winner of 50 over cricket world cup. In both IPL (Indian Premier League) Tournaments the teams leaded by Australian Players have scored victory.

Let’s See what Team India do to bring Twenty 20 World Cup 2009 to India.

At last I will say that some money of IPL & Twenty20 World Cup  must be used for charitable cause.

Everyone in train, office, tea-shop, news channels, newspaper seen talking about Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket now a days. The discussions of each ball and every match is going. Various teams like Kings XI Punjab, Chennai Super Kings,Deccan Chargers, Kolkata Knight Riders, Bangalore Royal Challengers, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals have mix set of international and local players. All of these players are earning excellently. IPL event / matches are much much more than a sporting activity. Actually sports is only a part of IPL Event. I just want to say that bringing of too much glamor to Cricket will damage the sportsman spirit and kill the objective of playing sports.

If we look at the history of cricket then you see then in starting test matches are played and then the concept of one day started with 60 over and reduced to 50 overs and now T-20 matches shows the cricket is synchronizing and may lost is importance in coming decades.  I am saying this because sun rises in the morning and sets in the evening and it is a universal truth so may be the sport of cricket have reached its heights and downward trend may be waiting for this popular sport.

Ragging is a growing cause of concern in higher educational institutions of India. although the laws and rules had been made but enforcement is the area where we lost our all wickets. college authorities, staff and student representatives must work to save new/junior students from harassment. Recently  the death of a medical students in ragging case at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Medical College at Himachal Pradesh had broken to sleep of concerned authorities, media, government, NGO and society. It is the most hot topic for Media. NGO’s, government authorities and everyone common man is discussing about ragging issue. Even court has issued directives in this regard. UGC says the donations will be less for the institutions who will fail to stop ragging. The main thing is that after few months everyone will forget about ragging. I think solution of this problem is not in taking steps one time and sleep till the next case happens but following steps must be implemented in all higher education institutions. They are as follows :-

- Spread Awareness among students especially the seniors

- Formal introduction meet organized by college authroties under their supervision

- Parents should inculcate good ethics in their wards against ragging

- A common national anti-ragging website where anyone can report the matter and counselling is available for him

- National toll free anti ragging helpline

- All colleges must invite inspection committees from other colleges/government departments/NGO’s to check the anti ragging measures in their campus and hostels.

AT LAST I SAY THAT ALL THE STEPS MENTIONED ABOVE NEEDS REVISION EVERY YEAR.

Since the announcement of General Elections, IPL matches are point of discussion for everyone. It is a hot topic for electronic and print media also. Home Ministry advised IPL authorities to change the schedule due to non availability of security agencies. Revised schedule submitted by IPL is also not okayed by Home Ministry and it had asked report from the concerned state. some of the states have said that they will manage it while other states views are not clear. In view of recent attack on Sri Lankan Cricket team in Pakistan  every cricketers and fans of cricket is saying that security must be of very high level for IPL matches. So All the franchisees, IPL organizers and cricketers are working hard to manipulate that IPL happens on time even if it disrupt fair election practice because it brings lot of money to them. They may give bribes to each & every concerned.

The big question is that whether money is important or election.

I think election is the most important thing and everyone concerned must look for alternative way to organise IPL match .
